SUHOR Anthony Bernard (Ben) Suhor, Jr., 77, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at East Jefferson Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony Bernard Suhor, Sr. and Marie Porte Suhor, of New Orleans; his brother, Donald Suhor; and sister, Jane Suhor Duffy. He is survived by siblings Mary Lou Suhor and Charles Suhor and 16 beloved nieces and nephews and their children. He was a graduate of Nicholls High School and received an Associate Degree from St. Joseph Minor Seminary, a Bachelors Degree from Loyola University, and Masters Degrees in Education from LSU and Notre Dame Seminary. He taught for 52 years successively at Redemptorist, Redeemer, and Rummel High Schools. He taught extensively in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal program and taught occasional courses at Loyola, Dominican, UNO, and Notre Dame Seminary. He appeared frequently at educational conferences and workshops and on EWTN TV. Throughout his life he was an inspiration to family, friends, colleagues, and students. Friends may visit between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 and between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 31, 2008. A Funeral Mass will follow at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. (in Metairie Cemetery), on Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery in Covington.
